The future of HCI

There are many advancements in the field of HCI for example the Oculus Rift, The Oculus is a Virtual reality headset that uses two 1080p screens, one for each eye, to display the world that software is disigned to show in full 3D being able to move your head and see all around you. This specific VR headset is in its second version and is still being developed and is mainly being used at the moment for 3D gaming to a whole new level of realism to the games but there is potential in the VR tech to be mass used as therapy or teaching aids. The therapeutic side of this is that people with agoraphobia could be sat in a room they feel comfortable and use the VR to go outside at there on pace to help them with there fear. the teaching side is that mechanics for example could work on a virtual car with spending the money on a car to work on they can go into VR and work on any car that is coded into the software.
